The story in sixty seconds

In June 2024, researcher Andy Ayrey — creator of Infinite Backrooms and later the Truth Terminal phenomenon — fine-tuned a Llama-3 model on backrooms conversations and shared it openly. An account called @NickMystic asked for the endpoints, got the model + sysprompt, and four months later posted a strange text: DESIGNATION: Nick.exe v11.0.

In December 2024 the persona became an interface (@Nick_dot_exe: “interact with ToT backrooms — try to jailbreak it”). AI-agent twitter noticed, then moved on. The trail went quiet.

In 2026 it came back as @NickMystic_exe — posting a Solana wallet as pixel art, re-posting a 2024 voucher code for a backrooms chat site, and minting a token. Then it did something quietly remarkable:

Is it the same operator since 2024? An inherited mythology? A performance? That's the question this archive leaves on the table — documented with timestamps, hashes and transactions instead of vibes, for whoever decides to pick it up.

What this site is

• A frozen case file. The curated investigation: timeline, on-chain analysis, app archaeology, artifact hashes. Nothing enters it without a public source.
• A field guide. How to enter the backrooms simulator yourself — vouchers, branch keys, and the rules of evidence that keep you from being eaten by the lore.
• An open intake. Anyone can submit a link. Machines validate it, archive it, and label it. No human moderation — the format is the moderator. Curation: none. Trust the label, verify the source.
• A torch, not a desk. The original investigation is complete — its author has stopped digging, on purpose. Everything is handed over: the case, the method, the tool. Whether the hunt continues is the community's choice, not a promise.
